There are times in life when we must decide—sometimes by choice, sometimes by pressure, or some combination thereof—what path we will choose—the proverbial fork in the road. Such a time came to a group of people in the Summer of 2012, and the fork that was chosen is what has now come to be known as The Bridge Fellowship (TBF) of North Baltimore.

   At the start of 2012, no one at TBF had any idea that by the end of the summer months—a new community of faith would be in the first steps of forming a new body. It began unexpectedly when several dozen individuals and families left a very old and traditional church and began searching for a gathering to experience biblical family life as God's people.  And so individuals and whole families left the church some had known for several decades or all their lives. The interesting fact is, they didn’t get together and decide to leave, but made the choice on their own, and would find out others had done the same. This led to about 18 people gathering to fellowship and worship. In time, the numbers would grow. Beginning first in Bowling Green, and then realizing the needs of people in North Baltimore, the group chose to focus their ministry in North Baltimore, first renting the High School and then our current property on 123 East Broadway.

   Through high points, low points, and a lot of things in-between the gathering has stuck together seeking to be both a healthy church and growing church, that will produce mature disciples of Christ that will Love God, Love Each Other, and Serve the World with that same type of love.

 

   If you are coming with questions, we want you to know that we don’t have all the answers, but we are a place that you can come to with questions about the Christian faith. It may be that you’ve given up on church, but perhaps maybe, it is now time to give God and His people another chance. If you have questions about God or the things of God, such as the Bible, faith, or what a relationship with Christ is all about, please let us know. It just might be that you are being called to also become part of this ongoing narrative.
